The Bangkok Chopin Society inaugurated the first Chopin Piano Competition in 1986 with the aim of introducing Chopin’s music to a broader audience in Bangkok and encouraging and promoting young, talented pianists to perform Chopin’s music.

In 2024, the Bangkok Chopin Society will host the 10th Bangkok Chopin Piano Competition, aiming to promote young, talented pianists in their performance of Chopin’s piano music. The competition offers an opportunity to discover, develop, and nurture young musicians, while also raising the levels of artistry and excellence in piano competitions.
